Me
Nanjing Massacre Memorial was built upon the event site. Over 300k residents were murders and/or raped during the war with Japan in Dec.13th, 1937. While the memorial opened since 1985, residents or visitors in Nanjing would take a moment to mourn the dead on Dec. 13th every year. The air defense alert travels through the entire Nanjing on that day.
However, the memorial carries more than truth, evidence and stories. It also reminds people of the entire human race's pursuit of human rights and equality.
每12月13日（国家公祭日）这里会响起防空警报，听到警报的人们和车流会自发停下悼念遇难者和这段历史。此馆于1985年建成。建于南京大屠杀江东门集体屠杀遗址。南京利济巷慰安所旧址陈列馆是唯一一个被指认的慰安所建筑。
