ABOUT
Me

MING Mausoleum is where Zhu Yuanzhang (MING's first emperor) buried his Queen Xiaoci ("Queen Ma"). It is a huge, complicated, splendid royal family style mausoleum. The perimeter was 22.5 km. The design principle was basically rectangular buildings and plaza with decorations and doorways that match the orientation of natural landscape. A very practical type of design.

Beijing's MING Thirteen Mausoleum and Hubei's MING Xian Mausoleum both applied the design principle originated from MING Mausoleum. More recently, it was maintained and recognized as the world' cultural heritage. Today people love to take a walk in spring or fall where the vegetation changes colors. Or, going there for an exercise/ bike ride in the region where you could also visit the Hill of Plum Blossom, Zixia Lake, Linggu Temple, etc. nearby.
